National Leon Day, celebrated on June 25th, marks the halfway point to Christmas. The name "Leon" is simply "Noel" spelled backward and is a day some crafters begin planning their homemade Christmas gifts and decorations. It's also an opportunity for those who miss the winter holidays to have a mini-winter celebration. 🎄 National Homeownership Month, observed throughout June, is a significant milestone - owning a home comes with responsibilities like maintenance and property taxes, but it also brings pride and stability. This day highlights the vital role homeownership plays in building strong communities and empowering individuals and families. 🏠 #ahfa #ComeOnHomeAlabama

Exit Realty in Gulf Shores, led by owner-broker Toni Stanton, recently hosted an education session for their agents. AHFA was invited to present its Step Up and First Step mortgage loan programs, and the Mortgage Credit Certificate program. Forty five Realtors attended the interactive class, all receiving three-hour continuing education credits for their participation. Learning about these AHFA programs with below-market interest rates, down payment assistance, closing cost grants, and income tax credits, these Realtors are better equipped to guide potential buyers toward homeownership. 🏠 #ahfa #ComeOnHomeAlabama
