On July 10, 2024, I visited the head quater of KOREA PATENT ATTORNEYS ASSOCIATION KPAA and had the great meeting with Mr. Dookyu Kim, the current president of KPAA, and the board members of KPAA. As a vice chair of IP Practice in the Far East Committee of American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), I explained the recent developments of the committee activies and our future plans. Last week, the Foundation for Advancement of Diversity in IP Law hosted the Convocation of Scholars in Washington, D.C. on June 27-28, 2024. This event was a testament to our commitment to fostering academic excellence and advancing our mission in the field of intellectual property. The Convocation connected scholars with leaders in the patent bar, patent jurists, congressional staff with IP responsibilities, and senior officials from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It facilitated meaningful dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders shaping the future of IP law.
