Affinity Groups are an incredible way to foster a stronger sense of belonging across our professional community and allow our members to network with like-minded individuals. The Young Professionals Affinity Group, specifically, provides space for young fundraisers and development professionals ages 30 and under to come together and discuss topics that will help enhance their career growth. Members who join this affinity group will be able to network with other early professionals to share challenges, tips, and resources to support their immersion into the profession. Happy Juneteenth from the AFP Maryland Chapter! While the 13th Amendment to the Constitution led to emancipation within the United States, not all individuals living in Confederate territory were immediately free. Thus, we recognize the Juneteenth holiday commemorating the official freedom of all African Americans from slavery. We utilize this day to recognize and honor Black communities while aiming to always embody AFP’s core principles of inclusivity, diversity, equity and access (IDEA).
