We'd like to recognize Scott B. from our store in Stroudsburg, Pa., for being a true hero. On the evening of June 21, Scott was traveling on I-80 when a tractor trailer overturned in front of him. Scott wasted no time jumping out of his vehicle and coming to the aid of the driver, pulling them out of the vehicle and to safety before the truck was overtaken by flames. Our African American team member group is leading our Juneteenth celebration. Commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S., we celebrate Juneteenth by honoring the progress, culture and history of African Americans. At Advance, we’re also celebrating the success of black-owned automotive businesses. Auto Frank is owned and operated by Frank Harris in Houston, Texas. Frank began working on cars at the age of 14 and now has over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. In 2000, he opened Auto Frank, which has four auto technicians and five service bays serving customers. Fank has been doing business with Advance for over 15 years and is a valued member of our TechNet repair shop network. A trusted business in the Houston community, Frank’s business motto is, “Let your customers do your advertising.” At Advance, we believe our people are our best part and that embracing the diversity of people, thoughts, skills and experiences fuels our success. Our very own Ryan Blaney advanced to his 11th career NASCAR Cup Series race win yesterday at Iowa Speedway. Way to go, Ryan and Team Penske!
