    ✨💗My heart is still tingling from how special today was! 💕✨ Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for the first AdTechGod (™): Women In AdTech virtual chat! A huge shoutout to ATG himself for allowing us to build on the amazing community he's created and to Tammy Blythe Goodman for launching #women-in-adtech within AdTechGod Slack Community. I want to give an extra special thanks to Priti Powell and Helene Parker for co-piloting this journey with me and turning it into something truly special. About a month ago, I surveyed women in our industry about their interest in creating a space where we could regularly meet, share ideas, experiences, feedback, and learn from each other—community is something I've personally been seeking out for months. Today, that dream became a reality when twenty-six incredible women from our industry joined us for the inaugural session. Every person was there to connect, network, and learn. I am absolutely blown away by the response. As my girl Priti said, "The fact that women are getting involved shows that they need & want this."     CANDIDATE OF THE WEEK 6.12.2024 Michael Shmarak - Illinois/remote - Communications Michael is seeking a communications leadership role within the adtech and/or connected sector. He is driven by a relentless focus of maturing a company's communications efforts so that it can not only generate awareness it covets, but how his results can fuel business development. His playbooks and processes clearly define how to leverage content, strong messaging and thought leadership to create revenue growth. (Still with me? Good.) Here is a little bit more about why I think I could be an asset to someone's team and make it more dangerous against its competition: I will scrutinize marketing and operations--together--to find sources of advantage. The CEO of a multi-million dollar CPG brand once shared "...if my management consulting firm and my marketing firm had a child, Michael Shmarak would be the result..." because of how I coalesce a company's operations strategy with its marketing strategy to address problems beyond a marketing department. In my previous role overseeing global internal/external communications for Verve Group, my strategy yielded significant increases in media coverage, social engagement and played a huge role in driving top-of-funnel growth for sales teams. The best accolade I have received is when my former colleagues called me the "chief people officer" of the team because I ensure that each person maximizes her/his potential beyond performance reviews while also contributing and learning continuously.
