Keeping pedestrians and cyclists moving in Italy! When an aging and functionally obsolete bridge on a critical road in Northeast Italy needed to be replaced, project contractor Carraro Impresa turned to Acrow for a detour solution while the new bridge was being built. Although vehicular traffic could be diverted onto local roads, safe temporary access was required for pedestrians and cyclists. A modular steel pedestrian box bridge from Acrow was determined to be the optimal solution for the project and was designed and equipped with external supports on both sides to carry relocated utility lines including water, sewage, natural gas, and telecoms.
