On a mission to end animal homelessness in NYC.
About us
Animal Care Centers of NYC Individuals from all over the city come to Animal Care Centers every day of the week for reasons as diverse as surrendering pets, reclaiming lost cats and dogs, and adopting new furry family members. We strive to find loving homes for homeless and abandoned cats, dogs, and rabbits, both by adopting animals directly to the public and by partnering with more than 200 dedicated animal placement organizations (our New Hope partners). Our field services division responds to calls from the public to help keep NYC communities safe and rescue animals in need, and we have facilities in all five boroughs.

Right now ACC has double the amount of dogs in our care than we have room for. Dogs are now living in cramped cages in offices and hallways. We desperately need large dog foster families!!! Please attend our Large Dog Foster Zoom Orientation on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at 1:30PM Pet fostering provides temporary care to shelter animals who need to live in a home environment prior to adoption. ACC provides training and supplies. We match dogs with homes that best fit the needs of both the animal and the pet foster’s lifestyle. This is for LARGE dogs only! Visit: https://lnkd.in/ewsewem3 to sign up!

We were out at Community Board 5 in Queens, this week to introduce ourselves to our new neighbors and to present on the services and programs ACC offers and will be able to provide our new community. Risa Weinstock, President & CEO along with members of the ACC Recruitment and Governmental & Community Affairs team were in attendance and also had the opportunity to make some great connections with local residents, organizers and small business owners. Gary Giordano (left) welcomed ACC and we look forward to working with him and the entire community board and resident's in our mission to "end animal homelessness in NYC."
