Adopt-A-Family’s work began in 1983, when three Palm Beach County women rallied the community to “adopt” a family of four who had become homelessness. Our founders made it their mission to help this family find a place to live, walking beside them until they were back on their feet. In the forty years since that first family was served, Adopt-A-Family has had the honor of working with nearly 60,000 local families in need of a stable place to call home. In this season of gratitude, we want to extend our sincere thanks to every member of our community who has enabled us to do this important work: volunteers, donors, advisors, board members past and present, partner nonprofits, staff members, and the families we have had the honor to know and serve. Tomorrow, we are thrilled to share a video that documents the agency’s beginnings and growth - a film that highlights the work of our founders, early volunteers, and the three amazing individuals who have served as the agency’s Executive Directors. Today, we thank every one of our supporters, past and present, near and far, for being a part of our story and allowing us to meet the needs of families who need a helping hand. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. #Celebrating40years #Gratitude #Thankful
