❓ Did you know ❓ AACI played a key leadership role in the 2010 census by canvassing neighborhoods to promote the importance of participation, conducting ethnic media outreach, and serving as a Census Questionnaire Assistance Center. This helped bring adequate federal funds and resources to the local community. AWH is the only domestic violence shelter in Santa Clara County that focuses on the Asian community, and we are one of only nine shelters focusing on Asian and Pacific Islander domestic violence survivors in the entire continental U.S. Thank you to the Foundation for your role in empowering survivors while they seek safety and healing after experiencing abuse and exploitation! AACI Asian Women’s Home serves survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and in the last fiscal year, we provided over 2,000 bednights of safe housing in our confidential shelter and hotels. Realizing the enormous cultural and linguistic barriers immigrant families faced, AACI formed Asian Women’s Home in 1986.
