My team. Every single person on the team is great at what they do, they understand teamwork, believing in each other, guidance, trust and the mission. Non profit work is working in the trenches with people to achieve goals and make the world a better place together. It starts with our own reflections of ourselves.

Living with intention and remembering why you started is culture. Value systems, dignity, respect and trust. Being happy to promote and progress those that come after you. Mentorship and believing in someone everyday: Define the culture by hearing, listening, and implementing. Talk to your staff, the people on the ground that are taking information everyday. There is usually a hierarchy in every business. The people actually doing the work are not taken into accountability, their opinions aren’t heard. Etiquette is a lifestyle. Holistic mind body and soul approaches help identify strengths in people and challenge weaknesses.

8 Billion Voices uses holistic evidence based methodologies to create specific workshops and teachings for you. My degree in biomedical sciences from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science helped me understand the science between healing and neuroplastivity, creating new memories and neural pathways. Our goal is to remind people what community and happiness feels like. Strangers coming together to breathe, heal, and be of value to each other. Maria Rum-Aharonian, MBA Anoop Menon Jeff Trueman Dr. Lejeune Y. Lockett Mark Cianci Vanessa Viola Shaheera A. Leading by example, I have tried these modalities myself. What has made you feel better? Art, music, animals? According to an article from UCLA benefits of animal therapy include: The simple act of petting animals releases an automatic relaxation response. Humans interacting with animals have found that petting the animal promoted the release of serotonin, prolactin and oxytocin- all hormones that can play a part in elevating moods. Lowers anxiety and helps people relax. Provides comfort. Reduces loneliness. Increases mental stimulation. Assist in recall of memories and help sequence temporal events in patients with head injuries or chronic diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Can provide an escape or happy distraction. Can act as catalysts in the therapy process.

Nonprofits with small teams often face several challenges that can impact their effectiveness and sustainability. Firstly, limited manpower can strain operational capacity, making it difficult to handle day-to-day tasks such as fundraising, program management, and administrative duties. This can lead to burnout among team members who may find themselves stretched thin. Secondly, a small team may struggle with limited expertise or specialized skills needed for strategic planning, marketing, or financial management, which are crucial for organizational growth. Additionally, resource constraints, including limited funding and access to technology, can hinder their ability to innovate and expand their reach. Lastly, small teams may find it challenging to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, volunteers, and donors, which are essential for garnering support and sustaining long-term impact. Addressing these challenges often requires creative solutions, strategic partnerships, and a focus on prioritizing tasks that align with the organization's mission and goals.

Title: "Harnessing the Power of Breathwork and Neuroplasticity Through Art and Music Frequencies" Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science Eisengard AI Specified modules by our wellness team director Vanessa Viola, alongside our art team, AI, communication, cultural sensitivity, psychiatrists, physicians, other professionals specified for your personal goals and needs. Body: In today's fast-paced world, stress and anxiety can feel overwhelming. However, there's a growing body of evidence suggesting that practices like breathwork and exposure to specific frequencies in art and music can profoundly impact our well-being by leveraging the principles of neuroplasticity. Breathwork modalities, ranging from deep diaphragmatic breathing to structured techniques like Wim Hof Method, have been shown to regulate the autonomic nervous system, reduce stress, and enhance cognitive function. Through rhythmic breathing patterns, we can influence brainwave activity, promoting states of relaxation, focus, and even euphoria. Studies have linked breathwork to changes in brain structure and function, demonstrating its potential for fostering neuroplasticity. Art and music, particularly when crafted with specific frequencies, can also shape neural pathways and emotional responses. Frequencies such as 432 Hz and 528 Hz are believed to resonate with the natural rhythms of the body, promoting feelings of harmony and balance. When combined with visual or auditory stimuli, these frequencies may enhance neuroplasticity by encouraging the brain to adapt and rewire in response to new experiences. Research suggests that exposure to art and music can stimulate the release of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, which are associated with pleasure and mood regulation. Moreover, engaging with creative activities has been shown to increase connectivity between different brain regions, fostering cognitive flexibility and resilience. By integrating breathwork modalities with art and music frequencies, we can create immersive experiences that tap into the brain's remarkable capacity for change. Whether through guided breathing exercises accompanied by resonant soundscapes or interactive art installations designed to evoke emotional responses, these practices offer a holistic approach to promoting well-being and neuroplasticity. As we continue to explore the intersection of breathwork, art, music, and neuroscience, we unlock new possibilities for personal transformation and collective healing. Let's harness the power of our breath and creativity to cultivate resilience, connection, and joy in our lives. #Breathwork #Neuroplasticity #ArtandMusic #Wellbeing #Transformation

Director, Office of International Affairs at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science

Why I enjoy my job: The Office of International Affairs at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science partnered with 8 Billion Voices, African Coalition for Public Health, LA Supervisor Holly Mitchell’s Office, NAMI, American Heart Association, International Institute for Tolerance, CDU Saturday Science, and others to celebrate mental health with our youth. 50 yoga mats, lunch, DJ, wonderful specialists in the healing arts, colorful flags, paint supplies, and resource tables created a wonderful and fun atmosphere for the kids (and parents) to experience and learn new techniques to manage stress and practice self care. Mission accomplished! #bringingtheworldtoCDU
