Thank you to the Arbitrum community for their support and vote of confidence in the LTIPP Council Election! 404 DAO is excited and honored to be working alongside GFX Labs, GMX, Karel Vuong, and Wintermute. We look forward to helping craft a program that incorporates the recent learnings of STIP, promotes new incentive designs, and most importantly supports not only emerging projects, but also the builders of longstanding Arbitrum protocols.

On Tuesday, we wrapped up the year with a Base community meetup & account abstraction workshop! Here’s what we covered so that you can also get up to speed everything AA EIP-3074 • EIP-3074 introduces two new opcodes: AUTH and AUTHCALL • These opcodes allow a smart contract to receive an ECDSA signature from an EOA, and act as the EOA for a single subcontext in the EVM. • The Problem: A non-zero valueExt breaks a txpool invariant and static validation for balance underflows cannot be performed w/ AUTHCALL. EIP-5003 • Introduces the AUTHUSURP opcode into the EVM • AUTHUSURP enables EOAs to perform a one-time upgrade to a smart contract by setting code at the authorized account. • This EIP aims to offer an easy solution for users who are still using EOA wallets to migrate to a smart contract wallet without performing a litany of transfers, losing soulbound tokens, etc. ERC-4337 • ERC-4337 is the most popular proposed standard for smart contract wallets. • It has no consensus-layer protocol changes • It enables social recovery, alternative signature schemes, customizable security properties, extensible, transaction batching, and much more. • The Problems: It’s very complicated and calldata for 4337 transactions is huge ERC-4337 in action https://daimo.com is an application built around ERC-4337 and PassKey. Zero private key management, uses PassKey! Stay up to date with the latest developments in the Base ecosystem by subscribing to their blog on Mirror https://base.mirror.xyz https://docs.base.org And we look forward to seeing all of our community at more events in 2024!

Can't believe it has already been a month since Web3 ATL and it was once again a special weekend! Here's a recap of the event with some of my favorite moments 👇 If you're not familiar with Web3 ATL → it's Atlanta's Premier Web3 Conference, a 3 day event hosted in the heart of Tech Square, one of the fastest growing areas in Atlanta that is the spot for new startups & innovation. I'm proud to say that Web3 ATL was the largest web3/crypto focused event in Atlanta 2 years running. This year we welcomed over 350 attendees which included 94 speakers that discussed the intersections of AI, Blockchain, and XR. There are too many incredible conversations to list them all, but some of my favorites: • "From Attention to Affection: How Web3 is Changing Consumer Behavior and Impacting Loyalty" with Jeremy Cohen, Claire Goodill, Cynthia Glasbrenner, Vic Piano, and Arif Bhanji • "Persistence in Open Science through IPFS and Blockchain" with Erik Van Winkle • "Tokenization of RWAs: How Do We Transition?" with Shahar Abrams, Nikhil Raghuveera, and Sanjay Raghavan And it was a personal honor to share the stage with Donnie Beamer Jr., CFA and discuss the potential for web3 in Atlanta. A shoutout to the Heirloom team for providing a seamless and efficient check in process. By using verifiable credential technology for our tickets, Heirloom was also able to give our team some amazing new insights like a heat map of popular check in times & our power attendees (117 people showed up to all 3 days and every side event!) Lastly a huge thank you to the Web3 ATL team. This event takes over 7 months to plan and it would not be possible without the passionate group of 20 individuals who are working tireless to grow the Atlanta web3 community. I'll be posting more about my thoughts, experiences, and lessons learned after leading Web3 ATL for the 2nd time so stay tuned. And as Jack S. would say - "see you next year!"
