Her background involves consulting, policy, advocacy, strategy, and communications, focusing on health equity and chronic disease prevention. Her interest in design and innovation began as manager for Vital Strategies, overseeing 27 activities in NCD prevention and COVID-19 response for 11 cities worldwide. This experience showed her first-hand how using a patient-focused and health equity lens could lead to innovation that makes impactful changes in the most at-risk communities. 💡To Ewo, health equity means ensuring everyone has a fair and just opportunity to achieve optimal health regardless of social, economic, or environmental conditions. Her passion for health equity comes from a desire to address social determinants of health and improve health outcomes for underserved populations. 🚀 In her role as a 2Flo Venture Fellow, Ewo is actively involved in investment decision-making, due diligence, and community engagement activities. She is particularly interested in the use of AI in disease prevention technologies. 📚Ewo received a master’s in public health degree from Brown University School of Public Health, where she was a Global Health Scholar, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Chinese from Union College (NY).
