Scientists from the University of Tokyo, University of the Ryukyus, and Daiichi Sankyo Co. used #singlecell RNA-seq and ATAC-seq to define the mechanism of action for a novel epigenetic cancer therapy, valemetostat, in a clinical trial for adult T-cell lymphoma. Ants may feel like unwanted housemates, but they’re actually pretty cool when you give them a chance. This #singlecell RNA-seq study revealed the specific cell type and gene expression programs driving the divergent physiology and behavior of foragers and soldiers in one ant species. 🚀 Exciting research alert from APAC! 🧬 Using #Xenium, researchers in South Korea have validated single cell RNA sequencing datasets, shedding light on the embryonic development stages in mouse skin. By mapping the spatial distribution of key marker genes, they discovered unique molecular distinctions between upper and lower embryonic fibroblasts, confirmed the diversity in embryonic dermal fibroblasts, and identified major differentiation pathways in the perinatal dermis. This study even pinpointed potential key driver genes for each trajectory. 🔬 Why it matters: This comprehensive cellular transcriptomic atlas is a vital reference for future skin development and regeneration research. 📄 Read the full publication here: https://lnkd.in/gKaKmdXs

Welcome to Club Xenium! 🎉
Finally, the 10x Genomics Xenium Analyser is all installed and ready to run! It was an unexpected but happy surprise to receive the grant last year. Being closely involved in the process from the beginning was a great experience for my personal and professional development. Thank you Rebecca Mitchell and Monika Dabrowska, for the training. Special thanks to Noel Harris-Brown for getting the machine installed and running smoothly, and also to the team in the School of Clinical Dentistry. The greatest thanks and gratitude to Prof Dan Lambert for involving me in this incredible journey! 👨🔬 I'm excited to see the next steps and anticipate lots of cutting-edge research output at The University of Sheffield. Amazing discoveries happen when new technologies allow talented researchers to tackle the questions whose answers were previously inaccessible. For example, the D’Souza lab took advantage of the single cell spatial resolution of Xenium In Situ to understand the complex spatial regulation of cleft palate formation. Their findings could fuel the discovery of potential in utero and early postnatal therapeutic targets for correcting cleft palate anomalies, which affects ~1 in every 700 live births annually. Read our news release to learn more about the insights they uncovered: https://lnkd.in/gAJnQAAY

Every problem is unique, so every solution should be too. At 10x, we operate on first principles, so when we’re faced with a challenge, we don’t just ask, “How did we do it before?” We go deeper. We get to the root of the problem, and while we draw on our past knowledge and experiences, we always look for new and better ways to apply what we’ve learned. Watch our latest video to learn more about our company culture and see how we problem-solve. And if you’re finding that “We’ve always done it this way…” just isn’t cutting it, explore jobs here: https://bit.ly/3RJ2eV8 #WeAre10x

Looks like the perfect box for hide and seq 👀
🎁 We got a nice little delivery today! 🎁 There’s been lots of interest in SEC-seq and what a better way to help our users get started than by leveraging our own Chromium instrument from 10x Genomics. Stay tuned for more paired secretion and transcriptome demonstrations! Also, did you know the box is great for playing hide-and-seek? 👀 #singlecell #technology #chromium #SECseq
