It is important to acknowledge and provide feedback to your team members when they follow safety practices. Also, address any issues or concerns when they do not. To tackle this issue, we applied the SWA (Stop work authority) policy, this policy was signed by the organisation's top management ( managing directors) as well as top management of all contractors working with our organisation, and it states clearly that anyone has the right to stop any activity when noticing unsafe act or unsafe condition, and in all leadership visits, and different awareness sessions, and safety stand down meetings, we always talked about this policy, so that people are confident that management is committed to it and they won't be blamed.
