This is an interesting topic. Creating content and value is critical. Also giving away with no ties creates a strong link. We don’t always have to make money when we interact with a client. Once someone is using any of your products over time you can then deepen the relationship. As an example we give away all our training courses for free. That means clients can use the resource to train themselves but also their teams. Immediately there is a bond there that creates value as they use the content.

Very few track each part of lead gen. They look at leads but what about touch points, what about content, what about all the nurture that sits around warning contacts up. Data and lead gen are critical. Here’s and example. How many leads did you create last year, where did they come from, which ones had the biggest impact on revenue? Do you know the answers to this. Probably not but you should.

Disaster. It’s a crutch to be lazy. Good lead gen is a human on human thing. Ask yourself the question, do you want to talk to a bot, do you want to be spammed by a robot? I know I don’t.
