Do you want to generate more leads, qualify them faster, close more deals, or upsell more customers? Different AI tools have different capabilities and features, so you need to match them with your specific goals. You should start by narrowing down the business processes you wish to automate. Then, look for the most suitable platform. Choosing a provider is crucial to the success of the automation process. Consider factors such as the technology used, accuracy, relevancy, availability of support, and, of course, the cost. After that, you will begin the training process. The more accuracy in the data, the more relevant the results will be. Next, you will start the deployment phase. Here, you should consider a gradual approach, starting with a small percentage of work to give to the AI system. Closely monitor and enhance the results, then increase the percentage and repeat the process until reaching full capacity as per the goals.
Once you have your goals in mind, you need to find the right platform that can support your AI technology. There are many platforms that offer AI solutions for direct sales, but not all of them are created equal. You need to consider factors such as ease of use, integration, scalability, security, and cost. You also need to look for a platform that can provide you with training, support, and feedback to help you optimize your AI technology. For example, you might choose a platform that has a simple dashboard, connects with your CRM, can handle large volumes of data, protects your privacy, and offers reasonable pricing.

Even though AI technology is designed to learn from data and improve over time, it still needs some human input and guidance to perform well. You need to train your AI technology to understand your sales process, your target market, your products or services, and your communication style. You can do this by providing it with relevant data, such as customer profiles, sales scripts, product descriptions, and feedback. You also need to monitor and evaluate your AI technology regularly, and make adjustments as needed. For example, you might train your AI chatbot to use natural language, answer common questions, and offer personalized recommendations.

Training AI technology is a continuous process that requires ongoing human input and monitoring. While AI is designed to learn from data, it's essential to provide it with relevant information about our sales process, target market, products or services, and communication style. This involves regularly updating the AI with new data and feedback to ensure its effectiveness. Additionally, monitoring and evaluating the AI's performance allows us to make necessary adjustments and improvements, such as training it to use natural language and provide personalized recommendations. By actively training and refining our AI technology, we can enhance its capabilities and better support our sales efforts.

To train your AI technology effectively, provide relevant data such as customer profiles, sales scripts, and product descriptions. Monitor its performance regularly and make adjustments as needed. For example, train an AI chatbot to use natural language, answer common questions, and provide personalized recommendations.
After you have trained your AI technology, you need to leverage it to enhance your sales performance. You need to use your AI technology to automate and streamline tasks that are repetitive, time-consuming, or low-value, such as data entry, lead generation, lead scoring, appointment setting, and follow-up. This will free up your time and energy to focus on tasks that are creative, strategic, or high-value, such as building rapport, presenting solutions, overcoming objections, and closing sales. You also need to use your AI technology to augment and complement your human skills, not replace them. For example, you might use your AI assistant to send reminders and confirmations, but you still need to call or meet with your prospects personally.
Finally, you need to test and improve your AI technology constantly, as the market and customer expectations change rapidly. You need to measure and analyze the results of your AI technology, such as conversion rates, customer satisfaction, retention rates, and revenue. You also need to collect and act on feedback from your customers, prospects, and colleagues, and identify areas of improvement. You need to experiment and innovate with your AI technology, and try new features, strategies, and techniques. For example, you might test different versions of your AI chatbot, and see which one generates more leads or sales.

Start with getting your data in order. There seems to be some sort of popular view that AI can combat human laziness by fixing all the crap that you couldn't be bothered to do in the past. Unfortunately this is not really true. A good data model, data definitions, data owners and a regular cycle of cleanse is what you need before you play with AI. Yes, AI can help with unstructured data, but it can't just make stuff up to plug the gaps...and if it could would you really want that if you are going to then make decisions based on the data that is now "improved"?
