In my experience, before asking what tools do I need, it is important to take quiet time to drill down into your end-to-end with that vendor and create a KPI for every aspect that is critical to success. For example: -OTD , on time delivery. This is not just a big average number, you should get down to each language and have your heat map that you can discuss with your vendor. - Quality. Error per thousand words is usually what’s measured for the translation deliverable. - minimum qualified translators count per language. If your vendor cannot guarantee coverage you will always be late or low quality. These are only examples. You may start with many KPIs and land on only a few as your vendor relationship matures.

I like a hammer 🔨 but that just me! Ok, Vendor score cards use is fascinating (not) so choose wisely there and review your criteria good/bad. Frequency of incidents and SLA adherence to everything. A root cause analysis on incidents involving the vendor should always be conducted and lessons learned incorporated back into practices.
