Seguindo essas etapas, é possível mitigar os riscos e aumentar as chances de concluir o projeto de construção com sucesso, mesmo diante de desafios significativos de tempo e recursos.

Review the current status to understand the remaining tasks and identify the critical tasks. Eliminate any inefficiencies. 2. Reallocate resources for the critical tasks and deliver immediately. 3. Hold regular meeting with stakeholders and inform the progress, changes and obstacles. communicate the challenges and negotiate for additional time or resources if possible. 4. Continuously identify potential risks that could further impact the timeline or resources.

En este caso lo mejor seria revisar los objetivos del proyecto y determinar si algunos pueden ser ajustados o priorizados. Esto podrian conducir a una reducción del alcance del proyecto o el aplazamiento de ciertas tareas no críticas.

Una vez en el trabajo, me encontré enfrentando limitaciones de tiempo. Revisé nuestros procesos y detecté cuellos de botella y redundancias. Reordené tareas para alinearme mejor con los recursos disponibles y utilicé prototipos rápidos para acelerar las iteraciones de diseño. Esta racionalización redujo significativamente los retrasos y mantuvo nuestro proyecto avanzando.

Lean’s basic principles is minimizing waste and maximizing value. This should have been the premise especially for a large scale project that will potentially get delayed due to multiple stakeholders involved. Constant communication among stakeholders and daily stand ups is essential to this type of projects. The end user or customer needs to be involved to understand problems that the project is going through.

All projects starts with an initial program which is based on how the team plans to execute the project. But there are cases when the project schedule looks really good during the onset but eventually failed due to poor execution. Thus, it’s always best to monitor the schedule and look ahead to avoid any problem along the way. However, there are instances wherein projects are pushed to its limit, and in those cases, it’s always best to make the necessary adjustment and become transparent to the client by discussing the current situation. This will allow for the contractor to recalibrate the program while maintaining good relationship with parties involved. Always remember, failing to plan is planning to fail.
