As someone who has been contributing and helping people via social media for 2+ years I think it's really important to know the following things: - Not everyone will agree or resonate with your content, and that's ok it's not for everyone - Getting very clear about your content categories will help your longer-term growth. -You don't need to pay to promote your content for it to reach the right people on the internet.

Being a dietitian on social media can feel like you are shouting in the abyss a lot of the time. But then every now and again a post really hits the mark and people comment to say how much it helps them. This is the point for me, it't not about trying to go viral, collect a million followers or be the best at it... it's having a collective voice of nutrition common sense out there.

To become a social media contributor, establish expertise in a niche, consistently create valuable content, engage authentically with your audience, leverage relevant hashtags, network with industry professionals, maintain consistency in contributions, seek collaboration opportunities, showcase your work in a portfolio, stay informed about industry trends, and share your unique perspective. This approach builds credibility, fosters connections, and establishes a meaningful presence as a contributor in the social media community.

Be very clear in your messaging, optimise to impress your ideal customer, and include a clear call to action in your profile. Otherwise, you could be very busy creating content, but it may not lead anywhere.

To create a sales-focused social strategy, you must also consider how to integrate a lead generation tool. What call to action will be associated with your social media? How will you turn lookers and followers into leads. How will you get traffic into your sales funnels?
