-
You will need to get factual information and evidence (oral/verbal/documentary) or otherwise to decide on the proper cause of action and the intended outcomes…. You also need to know the questions to ask in order to get down to the bottom of issues as this will aid you in ensuring you get proper instructions. Remember if you fail to ask the right questions you may tip over and fall on what advice you give and so asking the WHY?, WHAT, HOW, WHERE, WHEN… the right way is intergral in your legal consulting process.

I think that you must have a considerable amount of knowledge of the law and must know where to find it. It is difficult to give advice or conduct consultations without enough expertise and knowledge of the area your counsel is sought. I think that one must also have the abilities , skills and necessary capacity to consult. It is important to gauge if the level of complexity of the matter matches your capabilities! ✍️

Staying competitive and providing excellent client services requires consistency, dedication and discipline. Poor management skills and Lack of time management may result in poor customer services which may cause terminations. Affordability of advanced latest legal platforms to keep abreast with the law and conducting research 🔬. Not getting clients can result in the consultancy not growing and or progressing which may cause closure of the consultancy. Record retention and retrieval is crucial and most small consultancies or startups use drawers to file documents with no backup in cases of fire or loss (can result in data loss/breach). They can’t afford systems or vendors like metro-filers.
