I was talking job seeker recently who had applied to over a hundred jobs without getting an interview. We looked at their resume which was solid, but their cover letter was outdated and dense. What is different and better about this candidate that warrants my time and attention? 3. Why should I choose to work with this candidate and not the other job applicants? Take a moment to write out answers to each question prior to writing your cover letter and your letter will succeed.

Cómo usarás tus habilidades para agregar valor. Encaje con la cultura y objetivos de la empresa. Pasión y motivación por el puesto.

Get advice, take the advice! I have helped many individuals with their resumes and cover letters. Sadly, they all thought their versions were up to par. Usually, they were trash bin-worthy. Before you submit a cover letter, send it through a grammar and spell check. PRINT IT, reread it, and have someone you trust read it. I say "print it" because we stare at a computer screen all day. Many of us can miss something; if a cover letter or resume is submitted with a mistake, it will probably go straight to the hiring manager's trash.

Make a friend of yours, a colleague or someone else you trust, read your cover letter! This will prevent mistakes you'll later regret.
