Using new age AI tools can offer a uniquely customised learning experience for individual learners. Differentiated learning environments can be curated and this would certainly benefit learners. Evaluation and assessment strategies could also be made in a hyper-personalised method.

Digital tools, such as interactive whiteboards can be utilized in the classroom to allow children to interact with content on a deeper level. Collaborative tools, such as Google docs, slides, etc. encourage students work together in real-time with their peers, without the limitations of being in the same physical space. Educators are also afforded the opportunity to provide real-time feedback to students as they utilize these tools. Interactive quiz services like Kahoot! engage students on a new level, as well. Gamifying learning appeals to student interest, and these tools can even be used by students, themselves, to create presentations and quizzes for their peers, thus taking ownership in their own learning.

There are so many educational apps that can enhance your learning outcomes. I use an app called Seesaw as it allows me to take photos and document learning and growth for each student in a fast and efficient way. The photos are posted to a student journal. Tasks can be shared with the student to encourage follow up or enrichment activities. I can refer back to these examples when preparing report cards to have examples of progress and learning. Parents can be given access to encourage support or to celebrate success on a job well done.

I think one way of using technology to improve learning outcomes in the classroom is to use the competition that various websites provide. For, example, I used to use word games found on the white board at the end of the day when I taught ESL in South Korea. I gave out pencils and erasers for prizes. Because the kids loved it so much they became very competitive. The practice of using their cell phones to research their answers really helped to increase their knowledge of the English language.

Using VR is a great way to expose students to experiences they may not have an opportunity to encounter in their daily lives.
