Product marketing professionals operate in a world that can be highly reactive, and solely focused on execution. Establishing an team or group level Vision is critcal. The vision have to be authentic. Creating an authentic vision for a product marketing team must be a collaborative effort. This can take time and it requires more energy and patience of leadership but it is worth it. If the individuals on the team have even a small personal attachment to the vision it will be sustainable.

Setting vision is important, In addition is also important to highlight the challenges and obstacles ahead in the VUCA world.

All along my career, in multiple occasions, inspiration was the result of focusing away from the problems and enhancing the feelings that the product/service could have generated. This approach has motivated teams and after many years and many moves and changes it is still appreciated and talked about. Build the trust so they truly know you have their back and that your enthusiasm, passion, and excitement is to be with them by their in their continued success. Explore and know where they want to be in short, midterm, and long term.

In my experience, using some strategies can use help motivate and inspire your team as: - Lead by example and Be a role model for your team by demonstrating a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to the team's goals. Your team members will be more motivated if they see you are dedicated and passionate about the work. -Support your team members by providing training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement. Encourage them to set personal goals and help them develop a plan to achieve them. -Be willing to adapt to changing circumstances and be flexible in your approach to achieving goals. Encourage your team to embrace change and see challenges as opportunities for growth.

All of the above are practical steps which if taken will surely assist in building a motivated team. However the most important aspect is to be fair. Treat everyone on the team equally well. Acknowledge the achievements both big and small of all and provide recognition and rewards based on contribution of each member. Remember to celebrate the small victories
