During my aviation engineering career spaning over 35 years, I have come across various problems/issues. One thing I have learned is clarity of understanding the issue. From the perspective of a engineering modeling, this can be a total show stopper for some units when evaluating the effectiveness of CFD and other computational tools. It is my opinion that we need to continue to INTEGRATE modeling and testing such that they can feed into one another. It is the job of the modeler to work with test engineers to facilitate their tests in such a way that the data produced isn't just useful to them, but to the broader modeling community that relies heavily on validation to build trust.
