Em minha experiência, no design industrial, existem algumas peculiaridades subjetivas que podem tanto enviesar o projeto para o sucesso ou para o fracasso. É importante ter muito preparo técnico para lidar com clientes que não não tem conhecimento técnico de design. É preciso combinar antecipadamente com o cliente quais serão os processos de aprovação do projeto, quais são os principais objetivos que estamos buscando e como isso soma positivamente aos objetivos de negócio do cliente. Esse deve ser o principal norte do projeto, e todos os feedbacks devem ser orientados por essa bússola.

Iterative testing is the same thing as iterative learning. This is the reason for prototype parts, to learn. There is little room to go into detail, but check out Technology Readiness Levels (TR1-TR9). We use prototypes of increasing degrees of sophistication and capabilities and perform physical testing, and simulation for the model of the proposed product in the application environment. The testing is prioritized on what we need to learn and what is most at risk commensurate with the prototype iterations capability. For example, conducting heavy vibration profile testing on a stereolithography part will quickly destroy the product. Separate design issues from prototype material issues.
