I’ve a lazy way to do things. Create a techno-economic simulation tool. That allows you to model all technologies, and that allows you to model the business requirements you have, peak shaving, arbitrage and what have you. Use a scripting tool to iterate through all technologies, and business models that suits your specific project. Let the computer run through all the simulations and then compare the benchmarks… you can then zero in on the best configurations… once there, you can follow up with a Monte Carlo analysis if needed or even refine your search space.
