Coincido con colocar al paciente como cetro de su cuidado, pero es importante no olvidar que en América Latina, donde somos culturalmente más tribales (por decirlo de alguna manera) no es común dejar el cuidado de nuestros enfermos o ancianos a terceros, generalmente el cuidador, es un familiar, y con ello en mente, para mantener al paciente en el centro, debemos tener al cuidador en la misma posición, ya que no es imparcial en el cuidado, tiene emociones positivas y negativas involucradas en la dinámica con su familia. Mantenerlo informado, con acceso herramientas, tecnología y fuentes de alivio a su cansancio y fatiga emocional, necesita la misma empatía que el paciente. Si diseñamos sistemas y medicinas así, realmente daremos salud.
