Here's how you can incorporate technology into your education career.

Understanding EdTech is essential for integrating diverse learning tools into teaching. It includes LMS, interactive whiteboards, and multimedia resources to enhance curriculum delivery. Use technology to support, not overshadow, learning objectives, providing interactive experiences that cater to diverse student needs and improve engagement and understanding.

How many tools you should have used before getting a feel of what is available, and which tool offers what advantage? In my opinion, at least three. Then as you see other similar products you are able to compare the pros/cons. Most of the tools offer a trial or a freemium model., allowing you to try it out.

But there's an ocean of such resources! How do you navigate the waters? For any topic, there are tons of such videos, simulations, pictures and other media. A relevant question to ask ourselves is "Which tool do I use to sift through the suggested contents?" or, do I merely go along with the algorithms used by search engines in suggesting content to me?

Google Form (and similar Quizzing tools) were indeed easy-to-use, and easy-to-share tools for making self-assessing quizzes. But using a question from one quiz in another quiz used to be a struggle. Likewise, there were issues. Curating/customising existing content for your situation is not always easy (think of making changes to a good video so that it fits into your teaching plan! or, editing a good quiz to make it suitable for your class)

Encouraging teamwork and communication among students can be greatly enhanced by using collaboration tools. Platforms for document sharing, group discussions, and real-time feedback prepare students for the collaborative environments they will encounter outside of school. Teaching students how to effectively use these tools for group projects, idea sharing, and peer feedback not only enriches their learning experience but also equips them with crucial 21st-century skills. Integrating these tools fosters a more cohesive and interactive classroom, ensuring students are well-prepared for the future.

Provide tutorials, hands-on workshops, and continuous support. Implement peer review sessions where students can give and receive constructive feedback. By integrating collaboration tools into the educational framework, educators can enhance the learning experience while equipping students with the skills necessary for success.
