Join discussions, answer questions online, be a thought leader! Network with cool companies and influencers. Find online communities - it's all about building connections. Don't just say you did well, BRAG about it (with data!). Numbers impress. Show the impact you made in past roles.

I have witnessed employers, hiring these days brands not products and in branda, they choose loyal and authentic brands not artificial brands or people who pretend to be a brand of any specific expertise however actually they dont have that expertise or at certain level so be on your ethics and exhibit tru values while you present yourself as a brand on social media.

It's crucial to showcase your values, but instead of just listing them, weave them into your narrative. Share a story about a time you faced a situation that tested your integrity or work ethic. How did your values guide your actions? This relatable approach lets people see your values in action, building trust and authenticity.

Several things that I think should take into account: manage your content present and of course usually generate content on the things that you like to discuss, have a lot of knowledge about and will be happy to open a new discussion on. Usually the things that we like and have a deep knowledge about, we will be happy to share: stories, habits and insights. Use that narrative.

People use the term optimizing your bio but I think that can be abused on social media. Your bio should reflect who you are and define you in a way that is optimized for your goals and target audience. People sometimes "optimize" their bio by puffing it up and then when people meet or engage with the person there is a mismatch from their bio. Make sure to align who you authentically are with the context of your content. Use all of the space available to tell the most compelling version of you possible.

Focus on crafting a profile that's not just optimized for search engines, but for human connection. Use keywords naturally throughout your profile, but prioritize clear and concise language that reflects your personality. Instead of a generic headline like "Marketing Professional," craft one that sparks curiosity, like "Growth Hacker | Helping Businesses Skyrocket Engagement."

One thing I have found very useful while planning my own personal branding journey or coaching professionals and students on personal branding, people should optimize their profile as the first step while keeping in mind the keywords they require as per the expert areas or skills. Online reputation management and offline both are important but in online you have to optimize your profile accordingly.

Content Strategy is my pivotal element in personal branding as this gives me thoughts and direction of my content creation on LinkedIn to be the thought leader. List down topics you would like to cover whole year, whole week on LinkedIn as per your expert areas. Try to develop storytelling form of content at least 3 to 4 times in a week.

Don't just churn out generic content. Become a thought leader in your niche by offering unique insights and perspectives. Go beyond articles and experiment with formats like short explainer videos or interactive polls. Most importantly, engage with your audience! Don't assume you will be amazing at first go. The longer you make content the better it will get. Be authentic and valuable. Those two things should drive your content and differentiate you. Remember, the only thing the world doesn't have is you. It isn't the information you share alone, it is the person sharing it as well.

If you lead with what you can give and actively engage with people you will naturally receive value as well. On the other hand, if you seek to get something you will be ignored as spam. Always be networking, and then strengthening the relationships with those connections. It takes time but quality matters and you may need quantity to find your best connections.

Maybe you could connect them with someone in your network or offer to help them with a specific project. Always lead with what you can give, not what you can get. This approach fosters trust and long-term relationships that can open doors to new opportunities.

Take people on the ride with you. Your life is a journey. People want to see other people's life journey. It is both interesting and gives them some level of context to their own journey. Part of your personal brand is really show and tell. Share your process, behind-the-scenes, and your thinking. This type of content lets people get to know you and this is also great to showcase your expertise and talents as well. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable. This allows people to relate to you while also learning from you and from your mistakes.
