Always be honest! It's one thing to do something challenging and quite another to attempt something that is far outside your knowledge and abilities. I always appreciate it when someone is upfront about their capabilities. It builds trust. And it doesn't always mean I'll choose someone else for the job, either. I might trust and like someone so much that I want to give them a shot to show me what they can deliver!

You would not be fearful, and if you plan & execute it properly, then there is high chance, step1 would be done. 2. Focus on collecting all the help you need, to solve the challenges. Books, courses, friends, mentors, peers, anyone where you can get guidance on how to address. 3. Breakdown the project into smaller parts with deadline. And accomplish it step by step. IT would definately work. ALl the best.

Invest in Learning. Consider taking a short course or certification if the request involves a completely new skill set. Investing in learning demonstrates your commitment to the client and your professional development.
