Gathering feedback from learners is a good way to see what's working and what's not, and this can be very simple—I include a survey with very specific questions that deliver the feedback I'm looking for. The shorter, the better. Ensure the survey will be accessed easily by learners. This feedback loop also needs to be integrated into the iteration and maintenance plan; how and when am I going to incorporate this feedback and make changes to the learning experience?

As a training provider, I would primarily focus on the transfer of learning (see Kirckpatricks model of training evaluation). Therefore, it is crucial to set clear goals and expectations closely aligned with the participants' job requirements before the training. Collecting feedback continuously is important. After the training, supporting the transfer to the workplace and measuring the transfer by tracking performance metrics and gathering feedback from supervisors is crucial to ensure the training is sustainable and has a positive impact on the organization.
