What are some of the tools and platforms that you use to build and manage your global talent pipeline?

Make a global presence through social media in the regions you are looking to hire and there are numerous platforms to do so.

I see there are various tools and platforms used to build and manage the global talent pipeline. Some of the commonly used ones include LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster, and ZipRecruiter. These platforms allow employers to post job openings, search for and screen candidates, and manage the hiring process. In addition to these job postings and search engines, there are also talent management software solutions such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle HCM Cloud that help organisations manage employee data, performance, development, and succession planning.

LinkedIn Life page has been instrumental in helping us drive home our employer brand. We can create tabs that we truly believe in and wants to focus on like DE&I and what it’s like working in the business across different geographical regions. Due to the nature of our business (FX/Financial Services) we don’t find a lot of engagement in platforms like TikTok or Twitter. But we find if position ourselves well on LinkedIn and talk about all the things we do as a business for our employees and what make us a great employer to work for. We’ve seen our followers on our company page grow my 10,000 followers in 7 months.

Respond to comments, questions, and messages from potential candidates. Participate in discussions, join professional groups, and proactively reach out to people with an interest in your company Encourage your employees to become brand ambassadors and share their positive experiences working for your company on social media. Employee-generated content effectively attracts talent and authentically showcases your company culture

Horses for courses here. A talent team should have access to multiple job boards to support the business need and there's no one size fits all or a cure-all for this. I have used everything on the market from your mainstream CVL, Reed, Monster, Total Jobs and Indeed. I have found that generally speaking, Indeed outperforms providing more candidates. ZipRecruiter is a great new up-and-comer and has proven good in the US for me. Has great features to invite candidates to apply. The trial is limited though definitely worth a look for a global team that needs another string to their talent bow. Happy to advise on global strategy here if anyone needs specific help.

Job boards are so dependent on the level of role and the function as where it’s best to advertise and attract candidates. Indeed has been great in terms of volume hiring and entry level role within retail, but hasn’t had the same results on LinkedIn. Whereas hiring a Project Manager, LinkedIn is the go-to place rather than Indeed. Ensure you do your research as to the type of talent you’ve pipelined to hire over the next 6-12 months and then strategise the best job boards to approach. Most of them come with a 28 day trial too. So sample the job boards buffet till you find one that you feel would be a good ROI.

The effectiveness of job boards depends on several factors, including the specific skills and experience required for the position, the industry you're hiring in, and the regional talent pool. While job boards remain a valuable tool, they're not the only solution. Depending on your needs, you might also consider professional networks, employee referrals, social media, etc..

PeopleForce is great for tracking candidates throughout the hiring process, from initial screening to interviews. It also offers essential analytics on our hiring pipeline. The reporting dashboards are really useful for quickly identifying any gaps in areas like tech skills, geographical regions, or levels of experience. Its integration with various outreach and screening tools helps us focus more on personal interactions. All of this aids our consultants in finding and placing the right talent for our clients around the world.

ATS Platforms are generally the first impression a candidate gets about a company, often even before talking to a Recruiter. So the goal is to make it a smooth and painless process with as few click through as possible. Some really good ones I’ve used in the past (and this is an subjective) are Workable, Greenhouse, Lever and TeamTailor. I’ve not been impressed with Workday or SuccessFactors when using them and I’m not a fan of their clunky UX/UI. Always worth checking the functionality of what you need it to do and what it will offer. And check the plug-in and integrations with supporting platforms like HRIS and LinkedIn. Some will charge you extra to create and API whilst some will include as part of the package.

The best internal ATS I have used has been TeamTailor by a long way. I used this for a global fitness business to drive a candidate nurture programme, remove unconscious bias and improve stakeholder interaction. TestGorilla has been really useful for volume hiring and strategic hiring. It allows you to create bespoke test or browse through a massive library of pre-populated tests to add. API integration is easy with most ATS platforms too.
