What do you do if your boss doesn't trust or respect you?

My advice as a business founder and owner to anyone faced with a situation where their boss does not trust you or does not respect you, is to have confidence in yourself, conserve your positive energy and move out of that situation. Trust is implicit, either there or not there. If it is not there, it may not be your fault whatsoever, so rather than get consumed with worry and stress just embrace it as a catalyst to move on to new things

Evaluate the situation: What caused the disrespect from your boss. One time I was faced with the same challenge when I was a project supervisor of a building project for a private individual, my boss has negative experiences with previous supervisor. So he concluded that everyone is the same akways after his money and not his welfare. Then I adjusted my actions to win his trust because he is actually a good man. Know what excites and offends your boss. You might not get it right but taking note of the slightest detail can go a ling way in helping you understand your boss better. And sometimes, ýou just have to leave and go where you are valued. Because not all problems deserve your attention.

Respect and trust are earned based on your actions and it is not an overnight task, it takes a lot of time, effort, and patience. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day. Always meet your manager to discuss your concerns and learn what he/she expects from you at work. Keep performing consistently, stay optimistic, and perform transparently. Demonstrate being proactive; provide support to your colleagues, and seek out mentors or HR for support if ever in any difficult situation. If the boss still bosses you around instead of being a leader, and if things still do not improve, then you are free to seek another job. Be a professional, and seek constructive solutions aimed at rebuilding relations on trust and respect.

It takes time to assess your relation with your manager. Nowadays with the global teams it is crucial that we meet our leaders personally too. It's a gamechanger, I tell you!

Demonstrate competence ,consitancy and integrity Most of the time employee dont get boss trust and respect because not proved competence and consistency , there is doubt about integrity and loyalty, mostly based on perceived or wrong feedback or one time mistakes. If cocompetence ,consitancy and integrity demonstrated ,then trust is gained and boss is bound to give due respect.

A difficult topic to answer, but I chose to contribute to the seventh item because it involves multiple aspects and topics. When you join a company or when management changes without hiring someone familiar, the initial moments are often cautious. Trust is something that is earned over time, not given immediately. Some believe that trust in an employee or manager is solely based on positive results, but in reality, it is built on the individual's intrinsic values and professional behavior. Demonstrating your commitment to doing the right thing and helping the team is essential. In other words, your actions on behalf of the collective, combined with commitment, dedication, and ethical behavior, showcase your trustworthiness.
