Recently at work, a senior-level employee (who has had clashes with management and refuses to comply with our digital project management system) sent me (Shop Foreman) aggressive text messages stating that he will not let anyone know about materials he orders because he doesn’t want me or anyone else “****ing everything up”. I informed him that I was passing along information that was given to me from our supplier. He got more aggressive stating that the supplier never called him and he hand delivers his orders with strict instructions to the supplier to not tell anyone. I set a clear boundary immediately, telling him he could not speak to me that way, and contacted our supplier to ensure all future orders will be approved by management.
