However, in this situation I believe that when visual aid is utilized in communication, oral communication can equally be strategically employed by using keywords and subsequently identifying the corresponding visual. This will be more effective than using only visual aids or trying to bombard a non-native speaker with so many lexicons without corresponding visuals. Keywords and corresponding visuals would equally help for easy identification next time.
When communicating with non-native speakers, it's crucial to simplify your language. Avoid using jargon, idioms, or complex vocabulary that may be confusing. Instead, use straightforward, simple terms that are easier to understand. Speak slowly and enunciate clearly, giving your students time to process the information.
