Good point. There's a lot to consider in many different areas when traveling to a place you've never been before. It's always helpful and respectful to do some research so that even your unspoken language isn't taken out of context. In a world saturated with constant news and headlines (and the unfortunate use of fake news at times) we have to take the responsibility to fact-check the information we read on a daily basis. If you ask me, I would suggest traveling to be a more exciting way to learn. Not only is it an experience but it's an opportunity to connect and fully understand the subject of your learnings that you wouldn't necessarily get from reading an article online.

The truth of the matter is that we never stop learning. I like to think of it this way: organization's and corporations are run by people (and AI robots). Yes, I said it! People who, for the most part have interests, values, the ambition to make the company's they work for great and most importantly, that know other people. That's how the world goes round. Adaptability can be applicable to life in general. If you cannot change, you cannot grow but many a times we see growth and change as an enemy and less as something we should embrace. From experience, I can definitely confirm the realities of choosing not to be versatile versus being adaptable by equipping yourself with a new set of skills or knowledge. The reference of dinosaurs isn't make-believe, BBM and Motorola are clear reminders of what happens when we stop meeting the needs of our clients. As far as travel goes, the world is widely connected which increases the pressures of what an average traveler would consider a five-star rating.

Agreed. The world has become a sensitive place. As anyone participating in a global market - be it owning a b&b or running an airbnb, has the responsibility to ensure they compile to a universal level of harmony and respect towards themselves and clients. That kind of hospitality is called Ubuntu where I'm from! :)
