John Mulaney and Olivia Munn shocked the world when they revealed they were expecting baby No. 1 in September 2021. After Olivia gave birth to their son, Malcolm, in November 2021, fans couldn’t help but wonder if they tied the knot.

Following months of speculation that the pair got married, a source close to the couple confirmed to People that John and Olivia got married over the weekend of July 6, 2024.
John and Olivia wed in an intimate ceremony at a friend’s home in New York state, and it was attended only by Malcolm and a witness.
John Mulaney Previously Dropped Hints He Married Olivia Munn
The Mulaney actor previously sparked speculation that he and Olivia tied the knot when he posted a sweet pic of himself and Malcolm hanging out in the kitchen together on Instagram to celebrate Father’s Day in June 2024. He quickly deleted the post, though fans were able to spot a silver band on his wedding ring finger. The ring and quick response to delete the post led many fans to wonder if the couple said, “I do.”
As Life & Style has previously reported, John became Olivia’s rock after she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in March 2024. “It would’ve felt like climbing an iceberg without him,” the Violet actress gushed about his support. “I don’t think that he had a moment to himself … between being an incredibly hands-on father to Malcolm and then going to and from the hospital.”
Having stuck by each other’s side in sickness and in health, “Olivia and John were already married in every other sense of the word,” a source close to the couple exclusively admits to Life & Style.
John Mulaney and Olivia Munn’s Relationship Strengthened Amid Her Cancer Battle
Olivia announced she had been diagnosed with cancer in March 2024. “Breast cancer. I hope by sharing this it will help others find comfort, inspiration and support on their own journey,” she wrote via Instagram while sharing several photos of herself in the hospital.
After learning her diagnosis, Olivia underwent four surgeries, a double mastectomy and medically induced menopause.
“I went from feeling completely fine one day, to waking up in a hospital bed after a 10-hour surgery the next,” the Buddy Games actress wrote in the post. “I’m lucky. We caught it with enough time that I had options. I want the same for any woman who might have to face this one day.”
She further opened up about her health scare while speaking to People in April 2024. “There’s so much information, and you’re making these huge decisions for the rest of your life,” she told the outlet at the time. “I really tried to be prepared, but the truth is that nothing could prepare me for what I would feel like, what it would look like and how I would handle it emotionally. It was a lot tougher than I expected.”
