Leven Links

One of the oldest links courses in Scotland

Leven Links is one of the very oldest links courses in Scotland with golf dating back to the mid 1800's. Leven is thought to be the very first course in the world to feature 18 tees and 18 separate greens. A traditional links with rolling fairways, many of which are lined by ancient sand dunes, fast putting surfaces, burns and pot bunkers.

A six time Open Championship final qualifying venue, Leven has stood the test of time and continues to host leading amateur events and international matches to this day.

At Leven we have a fairly unique situation with two clubs, Leven Golfing Society and Leven Thistle Golf Club playing over our historical links.”

"Hidden gem at a great price!"

We really enjoyed playing this course. So many interesting holes and it is a fair test. The members were incredibly friendly and helpful. They chatted us up on the course and in the club house later! The views of the water and the community of Largo are impressive. If we come back to Scotland we would definitely play this course again.

Traditional links

Leven is a true links course. Very entertaining to play with some really fun holes. We loved it and the members we met were so welcoming. The 18th was fun but hard as it played into the wind and it was a little wet so it was long. A great course and true links.
