There are countless delightful breakfast recipes that require eggs and knowing how to prepare them perfectly is crucial. Whether it's a classic fry-up, scrambled eggs or a variety of omelettes, eggs can be tricky to get just right.

While individual tastes vary, many prefer a soft, runny yolk for their egg and one that they can dip their toast into, but if its overcooked - even by even a minute - you may end up with a rubbery texture. But how do you ensure the egg is perfect evertime? Well, Gordon Ramsay has shared his top tip on social media, reports the Mirror.

In the video tutorial, Gordon says the way to get the "perfect yolk" each time you drop an egg in boiling water is simple. However, his technique has raised some eyebrows among the foodies online.

The method has divided many online

In his TikTok, Gordon demonstrates how to boil an egg for topping off a bowl of ramen, a method that can also be used when boiling eggs for breakfast. Ramsay sets a timer for six minutes and says: "Get them onto a spoon and drop them into the water. Bring that [the water] to the boil, but don't water them ferociously, or you'll get a black line around the outside, boil them gently."

As the countdown ends, he removes the eggs from the pot and immediately immerses them in cold water. This method is intended to ease the peeling process,

Prior to peeling the eggs, Ramsay lightly cracks the shell and drops them back in the cold water. He says: "Get the base and crack it, then put it into the water."

In the most bizarre moment of the video, the celebrity chef can be seen blowing on the cracked bottom of the egg. He claims this technique helps the shell "come off super quick". After peeling away most of the shell, he submerges the eggs back into cold water to remove any "excess shell".

Gordon then slices the eggs in half, revealing that the yolk "should be slightly runny in the middle", which the camera confirms by showing the "runny and yolky." The unusual method left many viewers perplexed, with several expressing their reluctance to eat food someone has blown on.

One said: "I don't want a random blowing on my eggs! " A second said: "I swear to god if someone blows on my food."

Others leapt to Gordon's defence. One said: "You guys act like he blows on eggs in his restaurants...that's not the only way to open an egg are y'all serious? He's inside his home."
