Peters Sr., Robert D. "Bob"
Of St. Louis, MO; fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church; June 29, 2024. Beloved husband of 55 years of Mary Lou (nee Turner); dear father of Norman and Robert (Bob) Peters Jr.; dear grandfather of Priscilla Peters; dear brother of Norman Peters, the late George (Andrea) Peters, the late Ollie Peters Jr. and the late Mary (Frank) Weidemann; dear son of the late Ollie and Elsie Peters; our dear uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, neighbor and friend to many.
Mr. Peters was born a twin on Christmas Day 1938 and was a graduate of O'Fallon Technical High School. He served in the US Army Reserve and began a long and storied career of 48 loyal years of service at PepsiCo. Bob started his career as a bottler with Pepsi in 1959. As he was the embodiment of hard work, dedication and relationship building throughout his entire life, Bob's positions at Pepsi grew to include advertising, district manager of bottles and cans, sales coordinator, director of all on-premise for St. Louis, area manager, regional sales manager and completed his career as key account executive for on-premise and was awarded the prestigious PepsiCo Chairman's Ring of Honor.
In addition to his cherished roles of husband, father, brother, co-worker, boss, and mentor, the role of dear and loyal friend is one that touched the lives of an abundance of people. He was a food enthusiast, loved to cook, was always impeccably dressed, an expert handyman, a founding member of the Hindenburg Hunt Club, an astute observer of human nature, a trusted confidante and advisor, a talented story-teller, a history/sports buff, and the most gracious of hosts, "A Man for All Seasons," beloved by many.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in appreciation of Bob's life may be made to The BackStoppers, Inc and Shriners Children's St. Louis.
