Kammien, Elizabeth Ann (nee Compton)

She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Craig Kammien; children Molly Kammien (Connor O'Shea) and Kevin Kammien; grandchildren Kellen and Ada O'Shea; siblings Rick (Arlander Yates) Compton, Dan (Leslie) Compton, Jennifer (Bruce) Marchi, Michael (Sandy) Compton; sister-in-law Susan
Garrow (Kent Chinowth): mother-in-law Gena Kammien, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to list. Preceded in death by her sister Kate DeNoyer Bell.
Ann's spirited, welcoming personality drew people in and made them feel comfortable, and her friends came from all walks of life. Ann loved gathering friends and family in her home. She loved to travel and never met a stranger. She was a proud co-member of the Sisters of Loretto.
Ann was a physical therapist for over forty years, running her own business and teaching PT students at WashU, SLU and Maryville to love the human anatomy. Through this work, she touched thousands of lives.

My deepest condolences to Ann´s family. She was a gifted and compassionate therapist who championed my (then) older teenage son through a very difficult post- op course. Her zest for all life had to offer ( and all she could give back) was evident to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

I was saddened to learn of Ann's passing and I extend deepest sympathies to Crraig and the family. Early in my career a significant portion of my practice dealt with RA following a fellowship. Together Ann and I reconstructed and rehabilitated hundreds of deformed hands. Achieving remarkable outcomes. It wouldn't have happened without her expertise. In fifty years of practice without a doubt she was the finest hand therapist I had the honor to work with. Sherwyn Wayne MD
