Collectively our INCLUDES (Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science) Alliance is engaging high school and undergraduate students in the New York and New Jersey Hudson Valley with high quality Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) research experiences in the earth and environmental sciences. Each opportunity is designed to immerse students in authentic science research where they develop new skills and begin to see themselves in STEM careers supported by a network they can rely on. Our regional goals align with the INCLUDES national effort run through the National Science Foundation, which is working towards enhancing U.S. leadership in science and engineering discovery and innovation by proactively seeking and effectively developing STEM talent from all sectors and groups through partnerships, communication, and cooperation.
