Patient Complaint definition

Patient Complaint means any expression of dissatisfaction of the care and treatment provided by a hospital, from a patient or the patient’s representative. In this Rule, the term includes patient “grievance” which in the CoPs and CMS State Operations Manual specifically refers to complaints presented to and resolved or attempted to be resolved within the hospital’s internal system.
Patient Complaint means any expression of dissatisfaction related to the care and treatment provided by an Ambulatory Surgical Center, from a patient or the patient’s representative. In this Rule, the term includes patient “grievance” which in the CfCs and CMS State Operations Manual specifically refers to complaints presented to and resolved or attempted to be resolved within the Ambulatory Surgical Center’s internal system.

  • Patient means a person who is undergoing medical or other treatment as an in-patient in any hospital or similar institution;

  • Complaint means any dissatisfaction expressed by a Complainant orally or in writing to HMO about any aspect of HMO’s operation, including, but not limited to:

  • Formal complaint means a document filed by a complainant or signed by the Title IX Coordinator alleging sexual harassment against a respondent and requesting an investigation of the allegation of sexual harassment.

  • Licensed site remediation professional means an individual who is licensed by the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board pursuant to section 7 of P.L.2009, c.60 (C.58:10C-7) or the department pursuant to section 12 of P.L.2009, c.60 (C.58:10C-12);

  • Study means the investigation to be conducted in accordance with the Protocol.

  • Adverse Event means any untoward medical occurrence in a patient or clinical investigation subject administered a pharmaceutical product and that does not necessarily have a causal relationship with the treatment. An adverse event can therefore be any unfavourable and unintended sign (including an abnormal laboratory finding), symptom, or disease temporally associated with the use of a medicinal product, whether or not related to the medicinal product.

  • Investigator means an individual who is:

  • Contractor Related Parties means any affliates of the Contractor and the Contractor's executive officers, Pennsylvania officers and directors, or owners of 5 percent or more interest in the Contractor.

  • Certified pharmacy technician or “certified technician” means an individual who holds a valid current national certification and who has registered with the board as a certified pharmacy technician.

  • Medical examination means the preliminary assessment of a person by an authorized health worker or by a person under the direct supervision of the competent authority, to determine the person’s health status and potential public health risk to others, and may include the scrutiny of health documents, and a physical examination when justified by the circumstances of the individual case;

  • Pharmacy technician trainee or “technician trainee” means an individual who is in training to become a pharmacy technician and who is in the process of acquiring national certification as a pharmacy technician as provided in rule 657—3.5(155A).
