Supermarket customers have been warned by the Food Standards Agency over products such as beer, chocolate and pizza being pulled from the shelves.
Major retailers including Asda, Morrisons and John Lewis have issued point of sale notices over fears the items could make customers sick. The FSA said one of the items may contain pieces of glass while another could contain salmonella.
Others are being withdrawn from sale because they may contain ingredients like gluten or egg which are not listed on the label. Shoppers have been told to return the items to the supermarket or shop they purchased them from to get a full refund.
