People are being urged to call 999 if they see this missing man after he went missing over the weekend.

Lancashire Constabulary said Stephen Murphy, from Ormskirk, has been missing since 8.30pm on Sunday (June 23). The force first issued an appeal yesterday morning saying they were 'really concerned for his welfare'.

Officers have now released a CCTV image of the 46-year-old wearing a 'distinctive Batman t-shirt' shortly before he vanished. Mr Murphy was last seen on Tyrer Road in Ormskirk on Sunday evening, and he is described as being 5ft 6ins tall with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Officers are increasingly concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone with information to call 999.

A force spokesperson said: "We are continuing to ask for your help in our search for missing Stephen Murphy from Ormskirk. As you can see in the latest CCTV image we have of Stephen, he is wearing a distinctive Batman T-shirt.

"Do you remember seeing a man wearing this T-shirt today or yesterday evening or have you captured him on CCTV or dashcam footage? Stephen, 46,was reported missing by his family having last been seen by them in Tyrer Road, Ormskirk, at 8.30pm [on Sunday].

"He is 5ft 6, with short brown hair and blue eyes. We are really concerned about his welfare and would ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact us on 999.
