A teenager has been arrested after a woman had a chemical substance, believed to be ammonia, thrown in her face.

Lancashire Constabulary said the woman, in her 30s, was the victim of a "targeted" attack at an address on Whinfield Avenue in Fleetwood. A large number of emergency service vehicles including police, paramedics and firefighters were scrambled to the incident at around 1.30pm on Sunday (March 3).

Detectives launched an appeal on Monday to find a man they wanted to speak to in connection with the attack. The force said a 19-year-old male from Fleetwood was arrested yesterday morning on suspicion of Section 18 wounding.
