How to Submit
Families can submit an obituary through the Memoriams platform. Funeral homes can also submit obituaries through AdPay’s Memoriams platform.
The following is required when submitting an obituary through our online platform:
- Your name, address and phone number
- A Word document or PDF with the text of the notice
- A photo of the subject (not required)
- Name and phone number of the funeral home or a copy of the death certificate

Pricing
Lake and McHenry County Scanner publishes obituary notices on our website for a flat fee of $100 (not including platform fees). You do not have to worry about paying extra per line or for including a photo.
Payment is required before the obituary is published. Once we receive your obituary submission, we will publish it on our website.
