Description

A journey into the human body through the lens of modern medicine. Anthropologists and filmmakers Verena Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor show the body on the big screen like never before. Shot with specially created cameras that reproduce the effect of medical equipment, the inside of the human body is a familiar yet unknown landscape.

"We wanted to give the audience a new understanding, or rather awareness, of the uniqueness of our being," comments Lucien Castaing-Taylor. Seven years of work, five French hospitals as sets, 350 hours of footage: De Humani Corporis Fabrica will be shown in the form of an installation throughout the duration of the Biennale Danza.
