DeQuincy Police obtaining warrants for 5 juveniles involved in string of crimes
DeQUINCY, La. (KPLC) - DeQuincy Police reported their department is obtaining arrest warrants for five juveniles believed to be involved in a series of crimes throughout the city, and an 11 p.m. curfew is in place for teenagers under the age of 18.
Officers said over the last two weeks, they have worked a string of crimes, such as vandalism at a granite store and other locations, burglary of cars and homes, and theft of a gun.
According to DeQuincy Police, their department has solved these crimes and are in the process of obtaining warrants for the five 15- and 16-year-old subjects. The stolen items, including a 9 mm pistol, have been recovered.
DeQuincy Police also note a rash of bicycle thefts and advise the community to secure their bikes and mark them where they can easily be identified.
