Anissa Centers

Anissa Centers is a native East Texan whose award-winning career has taken her all over the Southeast. She most recently anchored the news at WSB-TV, the number one station in Atlanta, Georgia. Before that she was the primary evening news anchor at WALA-TV in Mobile, Alabama on the Gulf Coast.

She covered nearly every hurricane and tropical storm to hit the region from 1996 until 2007, including Hurricane Katrina. Her work during Katrina convinced the Alabama Associated Press to name her the Best News Anchor in the state. During one period of time, she won that award three years in a row.

During her career, Anissa has done live reporting for CNN and interviewed former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. All of that was exciting but it pales in comparison to how great it feels to come home. Anissa says she should have known she missed home and would, most likely, return when she decided to paint her family's entire rec room to look like the Texas flag!

Anissa was born and raised in Longview, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart, Reggie Centers and they have three children.
